Overactive imagination

I’m a shadow bending like a whisper
Through the rain can you see me shimmer?
A lost paper heart echoing through fire
Burning higher & higher with desire.

I’m like speeding car I have no brakes
A broken mirror full of mistakes,
Maybe i’m a phoenix waiting to be reborn
Or an old sweater that’s rugged & worn.

I’m chasing stars like the astronauts
Floating in space just like my thoughts,
Completely mad just like the hatter
Filling oceans with the tears I scatter.

The free spirit living to survive
Building dreams until they come alive,
Like money I’m calculating my worth
Or am I just a lost satellite orbiting earth?

The more of your poems I read …. I am constantly struck by your use of metaphor, in such a profound way, to express your meaning. You are truly talented and what much of what you say resonates with me. Your blog has really added something extra in my life. Thankyou. xx
