Deep rooted

One touch turns
Into a quiver,
A Kiss on the cheek,
Flows upon a river.
The connection
Skin on skin,
Creates butterflies,
Fluttering within.
Just one smile
To light up a day,
A kiss on the forehead
To take away.
But when I’m gone
You’re still here,
Because the warmth inside
Doesn’t disappear.

“a kiss on the cheek / flows upon a river” wonderful! My fav line. You are very right that warmth of a special someone’s kiss or hug, always lingers and gives you that warmth or fuzzy feeling inside. It’s great like you are feeling joy and security and love all day when you think of it.
