Sinking

Do you ever feel like

None of this is real?

Like were living in the Matrix

Programmed to feel.

Do you ever think

Life isn’t how it seems?

We’re lost in limbo

And reality is a dream.

Do you ever wait

To wake from this sleep?

But your mind has drifted

Far too deep.

Do you ever hope

This will soon be over?

Because you realised

You couldn’t sink any lower.

  1. Yes to everything. Effortlessly put, the typed words flow like ink to paper and the ink like the blood of your soul.
Remember, never struggle against sinking sand as you’ll only make it worse as most sinking sand will only trap you waist deep.
That being said it doesn’t take away from the fact this is a brilliant piece!!

It ain’t real. Sometimes though we gotta do one for the team. About the only thing real righ now is the sulphur crested cockatoo screetching above me. They can live over 150 years of age. Must be polygamous. Being stupid or taking the blue pill probably helps. Somehow I took several of each and then the first sheets of acid kicked in… the ones I thought weren’t working

It’s hard to hit the “like” button on something so sad — but it’s well written and compelled me to comment (which is rare enough). I wonder if I could ask, have you considered the possibility that your subconscious is aware — and in touch with — a substrate of meaning, and that the disconnect between conscious and subconscious causes this sensation? If you think that might be true, there are many ways to explore and connect them, such as meditation, contemplation, prayer, path working, shamanism, self-authoring, etc. etc. I promise, cross my heart, you *have* a purpose. Find it! ❤
