Soundtrack

Wouldn’t it be good
If life had a soundtrack,
You’d know what was going on.
You could fast forward,
Rewind, pause and playback.
What songs would play?
Would it be a happy beat?
Sad songs with violins
A full orchestra,
Or songs we’d repeat.
Would our soul mate
Dance to the same songs?
Would our music be compatible
Or would the rhythm be wrong?
Music is always in the air
As the sound of nature plays,
Songs in the background
Is the magic to a rainy day.

  2. I don’t exactly have a soundtrack, its more like a theme song. I have the sad hulk theme playing on repeat.

This is a gorgeously rhythmic piece. I love the concept, its a delightful notion to have you’re world filled with song. Music has so much power, you see that from the movies with their soundtracks. I adore the question posed of soul mates, its really stuck in my head now. What would it be like if you could find someone that enjoys you’re soundtrack and you theres. Its a beautifully dreamy piece of poetic musing. Very well put together!!!

    • Haha oh dear, hulk theme is awesome though! See a question to annoy you today, would opposites attract so mosh pit music or scremo with classical, Opera? And thank you, pretty sure mine would be white noise x

      • Oh my that has been an annoying one. It’s been something to muse over while the rest of my day at work has been slow. I think that they can in an aspirational way. the moshing and screamo can have an attractive sense of freedom. Conversely something classical evokes a more responsible attitude. These two can come together and find a musical harmony that will keep their lives ‘alive’ and make sure they, you know, ‘survive’.
I’m a little curious what you think???

I don’t know why but the idea of your theme being white noise makes me think quiet before the storm. Or you’re a ninja!!

      • Aww I’m glad it’s kept your mind occupied 🙂 I agree with you there, but as someone who likes scremo, I don’t think I could listen to classical… haha oh ninja yep we’ll go with that one x

      • Oh I didn’t account for listening. No no, I belive the personalities of the listeners mesh but you both retain you’re own private musical loves.
If a scremo band were to have their work adapted into something orchestral would you still be oposed?
I think classical music suffers the same slight as a black and white movie, in that they’re seen as too outdated and hard to reference. We all like what we like when it comes to music and there’s plenty to choose from so we’re all allowed out little niche.

  4. I feel this poem of yours. Life would be a controller if we have the power to forward the time line and listen to the great music of the past or forward to the present and continue the music that’s all around us.

Without music, life would be a mistake. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
