Nothing to lose

You stared into the deep
Until you became the abyss,
No warmth or smiles
Just an emptiness.
A hollow ocean
Where the tides stops,
There’s no anchor here
It’s a never ending drop.
You’re falling deeper
The sun is hiding,
The light in the dark
Is barely surviving.
The roof caves in
But nobody’s around,
No-one can hear the screams
So you don’t make a sound.
It’s a long way up
Broken & bruised,
Yet you’ll fight harder
When there’s nothing to lose.

    Like Bob Dylan said;
“When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose!
You’re invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.”

I only hope that your extraordinarily good writing and poetry is not coming from the depths of depression, because you are way too intelligent, way too beautiful, and way too young, to feel such sorrow, misery, gloom and hopelessness!

I always love what you write, whether philosophical, sexual, or existential, and you have an amazing gift! Several amazing gifts!

Plus you are so bloody SEXY! MmmmmHmmmmm!

Thanks. Struck a chord. Still going through a bit of stuff with minimal support in most cases. Will survive because I have built a pattern. Lucky enough to have a phone call from a friend yesterday for an hour who moved interstate. So many people won’t weigh in though. Some people are lugs. Talk. Talk. Talk. Then when you build them up they become assholes because you helped them

      • So very true, some people no longer care after you’ve helped heal them, only need you when they need help, and hope your OK x

Last night told me a bit. Have fought uphill for a while and done ok. Not going backward. Today is easy enough. This is a hell of a story

Not that they owe. Would be nice to see that they aren’t going to fall again

  5. Quite the cascading darkness pushing the speaking further and further down to that final spark of resolve. that final though of defiance.
It’s wonderfully written and I’m stirred by the subtle unspoken ‘fuck it’ at the end, nothing to lose so let keep moving.
    Brilliant piece!!
