Darkness calls

The darkness of the night
Is magnetic to me,
No expectations or duties
I can escape reality.
The stillness & unknown
With magical peace,
The twinkling of the stars
& comfort of the sheets.
My imagination is free
In this dark place,
You can’t read my thoughts
Or see smiles on my face.
Nobody can judge
They will all be asleep,
So I’ll lay here and think
As my thoughts swim deep
So when darkness dwells
And the night time falls,
Take a minute to feel
Nature’s perfected flaws.
