Riddle

We prepare ourselves
For our next life,
With tests and trials
That we barely survive.
Our kindness & warmth
Is to lead the way,
And open the gates
To a brand new day.
Consciousness awakes
Through darkness & light,
But we can’t be afraid
By the creaks in the night.
This Planet is a gift
We should never ignore,
It leads us down a path
Of conscious doors.
When your heart opens
Your eyes will follow,
Don’t be lost in a world
That became so shallow.
Balance is the key
As we stand in the middle,
Decrypting the code
Of the Universe’s riddle.

First girl I ever kissed had the last name Ridley. Unfortunately at school on the Monday I got called the Riddler.
Could have been worse. I worked with a bloke who had to leave a country town at 15 because he had no pubic hair. Even the girl’s father ridiculed him.

        Thank goodness for that.
Last time I saw the bloke was at my brother’s wake 24 years ago and he said he would take me out for a feed. Never saw him again. He was one of the ones I have fond memories of. One who actually had some positive features… albeit a story of exile for being a skinner. He made up for it in the city though. No one in the city knew what had brought him to the big smoke but I. I never actually worked out what the context was, or pretext for that matter, for him to tell me.
        Funny bloke though.
