Homesick

I’m homesick for a place
I don’t know exists,
My body feels out of place
As this reality turns & twists.
It’s like a surreal dream
Which has many layers,
I’m trapped in this madness
Locked in my mind,
Just like Alice.
I’m very lonely here
It’s far too silent,
Paths are disappearing
And the sun is hiding.
The trees are frozen
Leaves don’t fall,
There’s nothing in the air
Except my desperate call.
I’m like an alien
Invading this planet,
But I’m slowly sinking
Just like the Titanic.
The doors are locked
I’m in too deep,
I pray for reality
To wake me from this sleep.
